Super Nintendo Stuff
The Emulator:
ZSNES
- It's the best, fastest, most versatile Emulator out there. You can record quick movies, use state saving (kinda like a save point whenever you want one), use Game Genie codes, anything really. It emulates the sound and graphics well too.
The ROMs:
Bomberman
This game is really really fun to play if you have friends over, awesome four player mode and a fun one player mode too. 7/10 on the Dave scale.
Bomberman II
This game is very similar to the first bomberman but it is just a little better in every way. This game is just pure fun, a must download! 8.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Breath of Fire
This game was allright, the boss fights can get really tedious due to their insane levels of HP, but its still a decent game. 7/10 on the Dave scale.
Breath of Fire II
They fixed some of the shortcomings of the first Breath of Fire, but they screwed a few other things up, such as stressing the fighting aspect way too much. 7/10 on the Dave scale.
Chrono Trigger
Classic. 9.5/10 on the Dave scale. Everyone who played it liked it.
Earthbound
8/10 on the Dave scale. Everyone who played this one liked it too.
Final Fantasy II (or Final Fantasy IV translated)
Classic. The translated version is cooler and harder, I recommend it more. 9/10 on the Dave scale.
Final Fantasy III
Classic. This is considered by a LOT of people to be the greatest RPG ever. Terrific game, 9.5/10 on the Dave scale. Strongly recommended.
F-Zero
A futuristic racing game where you get to blow people up, it's pretty fun. Mode 7 graphics were state of the art for its day. 7.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Illusion of Gaia
I heard this game was really fun, but I haven't played it yet, it looked really cool though. Rating pending.
Kirby's Dream Course
It has got a really wussy title, but it is the only fun golf game I have ever played. The battle mode can cause a lot of bad blood to flow, me and Anna got really bitter with each other many times because of it, but that's what makes this game great! 8/10 on the Dave scale.
Kirby's Dream Land 3
This game was fairly easy, but to get 100% of the secrets found can be a challenge, and it is still really fun, check it out. 7.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Lufia
The game may lack a little in the graphics department but its cool and fun to play, and it paved the way for an awesome prequel. 7/10 on the Dave scale.
Lufia II
This game was one of the most brilliant RPGs ever, it has excellent plot and really cool everything. 9/10 on the Dave scale.
Mega Man X
Classic. An utterly awesome action game. Just to clear things up, X stands for the letter, not the Roman numeral! 10/10 on the Dave scale!
Metal Warriors
This game has a really awesome single player mode, and one of the best two player battle modes ever! 9.5/10 on the Dave scale!
Rock and Roll Racing
It gets the award for cheesiest title, but this game is really fun to play. Indulges your violent driving urges. 8.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Secret of Evermore
After Secret of Mana was released the Americans tried to make a duplicate that would claim the market like SOM did. They failed but its still an okay game. 7/10 on the Dave scale.
Secret of Mana
This game featured three player simultaneous action, in a Zelda like environment. Very cool, it's possibly the best game ever on the real SNES. 9.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Secret of Mana II
This is the almost as good sequal that was never released in North America. This is the only way for you to get the game unless you know Japanese. 8/10 on the Dave scale.
Super Mario RPG
This is one of the best known RPGs, mainly because everybody who played it liked it and told all of their friends. 8.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Super Mario World
Okay so you've probably played this game, and beaten it twice, but it's still a decent game, and the download is small. 7/10 on the Dave scale.
Super Mario World II
This game was pure goodness. I had a lot of fun playing it, if only Mario didn't have that annoying cry! 8/10 on the Dave scale. Would be 8.5/10 if Mario would shut up.
Super Metroid
I saved up and payed 85 bucks for this game, and it was worth every penny! One of the best action adventure games the world has ever known. 9.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Terrangima
This game was never released legitimately in North America, but it is really, really good, it is actually titled "Illusion of Gaia II: Terranigma", so if you liked Illusion you'll love this one. 8.5/10 on the Dave scale.
Zelda: A Link to the Past
If you haven't played this game then wake up, smell the roses, and download it, it is one of the most universally well known, and loved games ever. 9/10 on the Dave scale. I never should've sold my copy for a measly 30 bucks.
